We were just little kids when we met,
We liked each other because we were supposed to.
We were judged and ridiculed together,

Time went by,

Little did we know,
Life is cruel.
We don’t always get what we desire.
We drifted apart,
I tried to hold on.
I really did,
I hope that you did too.
I fought with you,
I fought for you,
You were worth the fight.
I tried not to give up,
I really did,
I hope you did that too.
But it wasn’t real anymore.
We felt bound to each other because of the history we had,
The times we shared together,
The memories we had.
It was all worth fighting for.
And I did fight for it,
Until the day I couldn’t anymore.

You didn’t.
