Running through a field,
In my lavender satin dress.
Feeling the breeze in my hair,
Grass under my feet,
With birds singing so sweet.
Soft rays of sunshine,
Falling oh so warm on my skin,
Making me feel as happy as I’ve ever been.
All the sadness, all the pain,
Now seems like a farfetched fate.
I’m happy,
I’m free,
As I sit on the soft green grass,
Maybe this will forever last.
I push my thoughts away,
I am here, living in this warm embrace.
Collecting the wild flowers,
So these memories never turn sour.
This was my wonderful day,
But how could it end without the beautiful rain.
The grass dances with the song of rain,
The birds take shelter but i stay.
All the water running down my face,
Will never be in vain,
As I dance my heart out,
In this beautiful rain.
This is my sanctuary,
This is my safe place,
No thunder will ever scare me.
